top   Titanic Team Building Arrangement

Succes Sail Charters offers the unique opportunity of a team building event combined with a 2 or 3-day business arrangement.
During a sailing trip, we will spend a morning or afternoon at an internationally recognized and certified training centre that specializes in safety trainings for the shipping - and off shore industry.
In this training centre that has all the facilities described in the programme, guests will receive a training of approximately 3 hours.

The group consists of minimally 8 and maximally 15 persons and the training is only offered after consultation. Because this is a training centre, precedence is given to safety trainings. A date for the training is decided upon after consultation.

Aim of the course/ module

To work as a team when carrying out assignments with a “Titanic”-theme including abandoning a ship and surviving at sea.

Programme description:

a. general introduction (15 min)
b. Practice: surviving at sea (90 min)
c. Practice: abandoning ship using Free fall lifeboats and/or sky-scape (90 min)

Part I: ‘abandoning ship without life boat’ (Survival):
To begin with, participants equip themselves with all the protective clothing necessary with the help of the instructor. No swimming skills are required.
First, the instructor will give instructions on how to safely jump from certain heights into the water and on how to assemble. There is no competitive element involved in the jumping. However, pluck and courage are necessary! When in the water, participants will have to assemble as prescribed, after which they will have to get on shore by climbing a net.
If possible, participants will also be ‘saved’ by a helicopter host. In the water, a life raft has been turned upside down. Only when cooperating closely, the participants will be able to turn the raft. Next, the participants will have to be pulled in one by one.

Part II: ‘abandoning ship using a free fall lifeboat:
Participants will be instructed elaborately. Not only will important safety items be handed out, but also the tasks will be allocated. Then, participants will equip themselves and follow the procedure for abandoning a ship. Once in the lifeboat, the launching procedure will be completed followed by a “simulation drop”, which is thus no real launch yet. After this, a real launch is executed for those who want to experience this. The boat will be launched from a certain height into the water.
Participants will be taken back to shore by the rubber dinghy, which will be stand-by during the procedure. If there is sufficient time, it is possible to leave the launching platform via the sky-scape.
